College Visits & Acceptances

Each Junior and Senior may take two (2) college visits per semester without penalty regarding absence from BCA provided this request form is completed in advance and guidelines are followed. Additional visits may be scheduled but will fall under the standard BCA attendance policy found in the JH/HS handbook. Students are responsible for any classwork they miss while on their visit and are expected to notify their teachers of their absence before their college visit.

Guidelines to be followed:

• Prior to the college visit, student/ parent must complete the "Student Absence Form" in the FACTS family portal. On the form, please notate that the reason for your absence is your "College Visit."
• Upon return from the college visit, student must bring to the HS Office, confirmation from the college including the date of visit and signature of a college official.
• All criteria must be completed before the student’s attendance record will include “SA” indicating a student activity in the FACTS system.
