STEM

Beginning in Kindergarten, students are exposed to technology and design thinking through Design Studio enrichment classes where divergent thinking skills along with keyboarding and other important basic technology skills are taught. Students in 4th and 5th grades are introduced to basic programming and problem solving using the engaging Lego Robotics curriculum. Science classes throughout elementary have a primary focus of investigative science using a hands-on, minds-on curriculum called Full-Option Science System (FOSS).  Through this program, students develop the ability to think and learn important engineering concepts by actively participating in their own investigations and analyses.

Robotics and Technology elective classes and hands-on science classes continue in middle school. In high school, students can explore Introduction to Engineering Design, Web Development, and AP Computer Science through elective classes. Through this program, taught by a highly qualified engineer with over 20 years of industry experience, students learn to solve real-world problems, think critically and creatively, communicate and collaborate with others.
