Ellie Jones named November 2021 BCA Senior of the Month

Congratulations to Ellie Jones, who was recognized today at the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce luncheon as Bethlehem Christian Academy’s Senior of the Month for November 2021.
Ellie is currently ranked 3rd in this year’s BCA senior class, with a 4.0 unweighted GPA. She is enrolled in a rigorous academic schedule as a part of BCA’s Advanced Placement program and is a clear leader at the school. Ellie is involved in numerous extracurricular activities, including National Honors Society, Beta Club, varsity softball and varsity volleyball. She also serves as a school worship leader and is a passionate volunteer at Bethlehem Church.

Ellie is a strong leader in Lighthouse, an organization for BCA female high school students who have a desire to grow spiritually, serve their community and provide mentorship to younger students.

Christy Pence, BCA Director of Student Support, describes Ellie this way: “Ellie has a strong, positive effect on any environment she is in, from academic classes to clubs and social groups. She is the true definition of a leader: humble, selfless, strong in her convictions, but so loving and kind, with a heart to serve others. She is a treasure to BCA and has left a huge impact and legacy as a part of our student body.”

When asked what she’ll be doing after her time at BCA comes to an end, she said that she will follow the Lord’s plan and timing for her life and work to help others.

The Academy seeks to create a desire to know and serve God in the heart of our students by equipping them academically, physically, spiritually, and socially to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives.
