Three Bethlehem Christian Academy Faculty Members Named GISA Master Teacher

A special congratulations to Melissa Sleeper, Lindsey Hohman, and Jason Stafford.
Bethlehem Christian Academy (BCA) is proud to announce that on Tuesday, November 29 the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) named three BCA faculty members as  GISA Master Teachers: Melissa Sleeper, 5th grade language arts teacher; Lindsey Hohman, 8th grade history teacher; and Jason Stafford, high school social studies teacher and dual enrollment adjunct professor. GISA Master Teachers are recognized for inspiring excellence in the classroom and in collaboration with colleagues. At a special awards ceremony and luncheon, the select “Master Teachers” were recognized and received a plaque and pin to commemorate their hard work.
The selection process for Master Teacher is challenging and competitive. Each faculty member was first nominated for consideration of this prestigious award by BCA Head of School, Rhonda Whiting. They each then completed a rigorous application process last spring including a detailed portfolio of tangible classroom work, evidence of peer collaboration, unedited video instruction, and letters of recommendation from students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
"We are so pleased that GISA has recognized the outstanding work of these three excellent teachers through the Master Teacher Program," said Rhonda Whiting. "Melissa, Lindsey, and Jason are creative and committed educators who have faithfully served the students of BCA for many years. They care deeply for their students and challenge them to rise to their potential."
