Congratulations to Grayson Meeks, who was recognized last week at the Winder Noon Lion’s Club luncheon as Bethlehem Christian Academy’s 2022-23 Outstanding Junior of the Year.
The requirement for the Lion’s Club Outstanding Junior of the Year award includes that the nominee be actively involved in any of the following areas: athletics, high academics, fine arts or student leadership. Grayson, who is completing her second year at BCA, was selected by her teachers and administrators for being strong in all four categories.
Jaclyn Sloan, BCA’s Fine Arts Director, said, “Grayson is a gifted student and a strong, extremely mature individual. She has tremendous depth, sense of purpose and drive, and is a leader among her peers. She has excelled here at BCA in her courses and as a part of the fine arts program. I have had the privilege of teaching her and can say that her encouragement and kindness to her peers is a daily occurrence and her presence in the classroom truly makes a difference.
With a 4.0 GPA, Grayson is a member of National Honor Society, serves as the Beta Club Co-Vice President, Junior Class President, and is a member of the BCA student-led prayer team. She has been a member of the softball and basketball teams for the last two years and served as the softball team captain during the 2022 season.

On campus, she volunteers with Night to Shine as well as BCA’s KinderKnight Kindergarten graduation program, and she is currently a 1st grade teacher intern.
After high school, Grayson plans to attend college and major in education with the goal of becoming a middle school math teacher.
