What is the Prayer Watch?
As we begin a new school year, we invite every BCA family to partner with us in something called the BCA Prayer Watch. Together, we will stand watch in prayer over our entire BCA community: our students and families, those who teach, lead, coach, and serve, and the mission God has entrusted to our school. We believe there is nothing more powerful or important we can do for our BCA community than to pray. Together, let us ask God to guide us, protect us, and prepare our students for the impact He has called them to make.
Each month, we will share a new prayer focus to help center our prayers and unite us as we faithfully stand watch together. Throughout the year, we will also offer special opportunities for prayer, including a Campus Prayer Walk, Dads on Watch, and dedicated prayer times for moms and grandparents. We hope you will continue to watch for these opportunities and join us as we cover our BCA community in prayer throughout the year.
Blessings & Praises
We praise God for bringing our BCA family back together, for the new friends joining us for the first time, and for the excitement of a fresh beginning. We are grateful for the wonderful team of teachers, coaches, and staff He has assembled to serve our students. And we celebrate our new playground, new classroom spaces, and the many exciting plans for the year ahead.
Specific prayer requests
Please join us in praying for:
- God’s protection over our students, families, faculty, staff, coaches, and campus.
- Wisdom, strength, and encouragement for all those who teach, lead, coach, and serve.
- A smooth transition for our new students and families as they become part of the BCA community.
- Joy and growth — that our classrooms, chapels, and all we have planned would be filled with joy, meaningful learning, and spiritual growth.
A prayer for this year
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness and for bringing us to the beginning of another school year. We are grateful for every student, family, teacher, volunteer, and supporter You have brought to BCA. We commit this year to You and ask that every classroom, conversation, and decision would honor Christ. Protect our campus, our students, and our staff. Give wisdom to our leaders, joy to our teachers, and open hearts to every student. May everything we do point others to You. Amen.
The greatest thing we can do for our students is pray.
